Paul Giuffre is a founding partner in the law firm of Meyers Giuffre Evans & Schwarzwaelder, which was established in 2004. His law practice concentrates on medical malpractice cases. Paul has over 10 years of experience representing individuals who have suffered serious injury as a result of medical mistakes. In addition, he has extensive trial experience in personal injury, criminal defense, and general litigation matters.

An experienced trial lawyer, Paul is known for his conscientious and thorough approach to each case. His positive attitude and deep commitment to his work are characteristic of his advocacy for clients who have been wronged by medical mistakes. His focus is on doing what’s best for the client. Paul is rewarded by representing individuals one-on-one, many of whom have suffered serious personal injury and hardship. His motivation comes not just from helping his clients but from knowing that he’s contributing by bringing about improvements in the way medicine is practiced.

A native of Pennsylvania, Paul was born and raised in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh. While in high school, he was inspired to pursue a career in law by a local attorney who had a general practice. He received both his college degree (cum laude) and his law degree from Duquesne University and was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar and U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania in 1990. He began his career as a prosecutor with the Allegheny District Attorney’s Office where he was an Assistant District Attorney from 1991-1995. After gaining valuable trial experience, Paul left to pursue private practice, focusing on personal injury and criminal defense cases. His practice gradually evolved to focus more on medical malpractice.

Paul is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Paul is also an invited member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been recognized in Pennsylvania “Super Lawyers”. His outside interests are focused on his family with his wife and their two young daughters. He has been active in community organizations and activities, from coaching youth basketball, the founding of a local area volunteer ambulance service and serving on various community committees and boards.
